The Brave Archer, directed by the legendary Cheng Cheh, is on the list of top 10 martial arts hits of 1977 based on Jin Yong’s classic martial arts novel The Eagle-Shooting Heroes, of which Wong Kar Wai’s Ashes of Time is loosely based on.
